A game-show style competition based on the concepts of creative repair and reuse as a means of diverting objects from landfill and encouraging the use of discarded materials in art making.
Repair-O-Rama examines our relationship with trash and 'disposable culture', and what it means for an object to be repaired.
Game play consisted of contestants competing to create the best 'repair' of one of a pair of objects. Artists prompts, supplies, snacks and a 60 minute time limit were provided.
This project was a collaboration between N+U, Julia Gartrell and Tom Ashcraft with assistance from Mia Loia, Daniel Schwendinger, Jonathan Rivenbark, Nikayla Glover and Joshua Masters. Special thanks to Beth Moore for being our all-seeing judge.
